Having just found this board and acquired some long-sought-after songs (thanks Marie3!) I was in an 80s mood last night and watched Reckless

Love the scene where Aidan Quinn lets loose to Romeo Void's Never Say Never. Aidan Quinn and Daryl Hannah vandalizing the school to the tune of Kim Wilde's Kids in America is pretty good too.

What are some other favorite uses of NW songs in movies?

Amy Heckerling is a friend of mine. Her daughter, Mollie sings for the band I manage, The Lost Patrol.

A few other scenes:

1. U2 - "I Will Follow" the abortion scene in "The Last American Virgin."

2. Gleaming Spires - "Are You Ready For The Sex Girls" in the above film and the Lambda/Mu party scene in Revenge of the Nerds

3. The Flowerpot Men - "Beat City" the driving scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off

the composer hit that 80's new wave pop dead on and the video is a crack up

Echo and the Bunnymen's "The Killing Moon" at the opening of "Donnie Darko", setting the mood for the rest of the movie. This is changed in the inferior director's cut.

I have always been a fan of "Why Do Good Girls Like Bad Boy" from Bachelor Party. Dang, there are song good songs on this post.
