They were taking him off of life support Monday evening.
For those of us in the Midwest, The Suburbs were one of the all time great party bands. I was lucky enough to catch them a few times over the years. Bruce's passing will leave a huge hole in the Twin Cities music community.

"Allen, 54, died Monday night surrounded by family and friends. He had undergone triple bypass surgery last year and numerous other complications, including severe kidney stones and symptoms of hemophilia."

A whole generation of musicians seems to start biologically fading(Willy de Ville,Jim Caroll,Fred Sichin etc)...Bruce Allen will also be missed.A huge fan of Suburbs from Greece(a place in which none seems to care about Twin Tone,Flamin Ohs,Phones-this stuff).
