Always considered this a comeback lp for them . A return to the sound of the first two lp's.

In prepping for SXSW...

The dB's Stands for Decibels and Repercussion. Real honest pop. Great for keeping me up in the office.

ABC's Beauty Stab. Hadn't listened to it the whole way through in years. Forgotten how much I liked it.

The Payola$- In a Place Like This
This is one of those lp's I absolutely wore the grooves out of right from the start.

Just got done listening to Men Without Hats - Pop Goes the World. Forgot how satisfying listening to it beginning to end can be.

"Never Mind the Bollocks", still sounds good turned up to eleven.

I've never owned a Human League record, but I recently downloaded Dare and binged on early 80's synth for a few weeks.

NuWaveRx-- Around the same time I ordered the remaster of ABC's Beauty Stab. My older brother owned that LP when I was a kid, and the songs (apart from "That was then..." and "Unzip") were a bit advanced for me at the time. It's a really good record that rewards with repeated listens.

I really liked the Furs' Book of Days as well. Some slow spots, but the overall sound was a welcome return to form. I'm hoping to see them play live in my area.

.....any Duran Duran after Notorious. Just completely lost all interest.

Squeeze "Play" certainly not classic Squeeze, but a good straight up pop record.

Echo and the Bunnymen, "Heaven Up Here", had to hear it before the show tonight.

One To One - [i]Forward Your Emotions[/i]. Not a solid 100%, but hadn't listened to the whole album since '86 and I really enjoyed hearing it all the way through again once the reissue came out recently. Made me go listen to their '90s alt-rock mutation, Artificial Joy Club. That's a great record, too. Shame that the singer is relegated to being in a Canadian cover band now; she's incredible live. AJC toured in '97 and included a Zeppelin cover in their set; she totally nailed the vocals.

Eleventh Dream Day - Lived To Tell- If Neil Young wanted to be in a real 90's alt rock band, he would have been in this band and he would've made this record.

Squeeze - Argybargy.

Wore it out when it first came out.
