Well, she may be the first female winner of the Best Director Academy Award, but she's not the first director of a New Order video to do so - that would be Jonathan Demme.

And this just in...she appears as the leader of the all-female posse (with, strangely enough, Bill Paxton...who's actually the singer for the band) in a video directed by her then-future ex-husband James Cameron for Martini Ranch's "Reach".

That video was a parody on the then current heavy metal music scene, actually. And Kathryn Bigelow did it great. One of the finest New Order videos. "Salvation" - the movie the song was featured in was just as great.
