As in "Wall" or therabouts? Chances are you'll get my station spottily, if at all - our station's in Middletown (the Lincroft section) and I find I get the station reliably down to about exit 100 on the Parkway. We're hopefully getting our power raised "real soon now", to the point where if 90.5 FM's listenable (as opposed to "received perfectly"), 90.5 HD2 will be as well, but as I said, it's coming "real soon now".

In the meantime, you'll be able to get Shore Alternative at 94.3 HD2. IMO, they lean a lot more heavily on the 90's, but they throw in the occasional ringer (I heard "Circus Of Death" by The Human League once) so they're an option.

Other HD signals are more of a curiosity - though the same power raise we're getting applies to the NYC stations as well, and you might find yourself getting 102.7 HD2, "last.fm/Discover" fairly reliably. Jerry Rubino, a fellow ex-FM106.3-er, is there, and he's been pulling good new music.

As for what to buy, that depends on whether you want something portable or not.

Portable is the cheapest, with Best Buy's "Insignia" portable now at Overstock.com for $34 or so. <a href="http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Insignia-NS-HD01-HD-Radio-Portable-Player-Refurbished/4599082/product.html?cid=143848&fp=F">Here's your link for that.</a>

For a more system-component-style one that you can attach an honest-to-goodness antenna to (unlike the Insignia that uses the headphones as its antenna) the Sony component is on sale at Buy.com - <a href="http://www.buy.com/prod/sony-hd-radio-xdr-f1hd-radio-tuner-20-presets/q/listingid/28441310/loc/111/208455895.html">here's that link.</a> This doesn't have its own speakers - you hook it to the Aux input on your stereo.

And for one that stands alone, try this <a href="http://www.walmart.com/ip/Teac-HD-1-HD-Clock-Radio-with-iPod-iPhone-Docking-Black/13339097?wmlspartner=GPA&sourceid=44444444440301197986">Teac for $99 at Walmart,</a> complete with an iPod dock...

I went with the portable (Insignia from Best Buy). I hook it to the aux input in my car, and drape the aux wire over the rear-view mirror. Works pretty nicely. If you use an FM retransmitter to get sound from any portable to your car radio, make sure you use a long wire so that you get a similar antenna effect.

You've become my number 1 choice when listening at the computer and now away from the computer. I had my daughter download your app to her I-touch. Keep up the great mixes.

We just made a significant tweak to the MP3 codec we were using - which might just mean the automation software won't lock up. Maybe I'll go live this weekend...
