Oddly it's always "Stab Your Back" by The Damned. I think it's the way I have my playlists listed with a "01-new wave" one first. That must then be sorted by year. Now that you mention it, that is a pretty freaking annoying first song.

The way my ipod connects through my car I can't figure out how to get it to shuffle songs.

So if I don't choose a playlist or genre, A-Punk by Vampire Weekend always plays first. Very annoying.

When you fall asleep to Vampire Weekend then blame Toyota for a stuck pedal, we'll all know the real story.

Frankie Goes To hollywood - Two Tribes

I don't even have to look at it. I know once I turn it on that's going to be the first song playing.

I'm not sick of the song, but if my iPod/iTunes suddenly starts at the beginning of my collection, the first song is "Don't Do Me Any Favours" by a-ha from the Analogue album.

I have well over 18,000 songs on my iPod, so shuffle can sometimes be a crapshoot. When I was using my old laptop with little hard drive space, my iPod was basically one big "greatest hits" collection, and shuffle was a lot of fun. But now that I have so many complete albums on there, shuffle is not always as fun because there's so many times where I want to hear something familiar and I have to keep hitting "next."

I have a lot of comedy albums on mine; all of those tracks are tagged as "Skip when shuffling."

My iPod is convinced my favorite song is "Someone Somewhere in Summertime."

It's not. [:D]

It used to be "Love In A Vacuum" by 'Til Tuesday (because of the apostrophe), but now it alphabetizes a little differently, and I get "Take On Me."
