"Substitution Mass Confusion - A Tribute To The Cars" is now available from Not Lame Recordings. The CD features modern interpretations of Cars' classics from such artists as Jason Falkner (ex-Jellyfish), Butch Walker, Jon Auer (The Posies, Big Star), Bleu, and the Bravery.

Although I like the Cars - their earlier work in particular - I have no idea who the hell any of these people are.

You guys have never heard of The Posies or Jellyfish? Great stuff - you really should check them out. And Butch Walker was in the horribly underrated Marvelous 3, also well worth checking out.

Thanks for the recommendations motors. Out of those, I'd only heard of the Posies, but I was actually gonna pick this album up just the same. I love The Cars, and I enjoy tribute albums.
