I am just wondering if I am alone in thinking Mike P may have crossed the line here by selling CD's of previous songs of the week? Whilst I am all in favour of tracks of the week in order to hear of long forgotten (and new in many people's cases) artists the RIAA may say that he is making money out of other peoples work and come down like a ton of bricks regardless of whether or not he may be making a profit.

Whilst I don't give a stuff about the RIAA (or BPI in my case) will this action have repercussions elsewhere? Torchomatic sold CDR's on his site and he had to stop (cannot remember if Paypal got involved).

Some may say that these CDR's are no different from P2P. What do others think?

Considering nearly all 200 of the tracks have never made it to CD and have been essentially "lost tracks" for the past 15-25 years, I don't think Mike needs to worry much about the RIAA coming knocking on his door. [:p]

Fair enough! I had a number of artists I have featured on my site thanking me for the exposure etc but I am not sure what their reaction would be if I started to sell them as mp3's on CD. Granted that these have not been available for years but the RIAA/B

These are all essentially bootlegs of lost music that this guy has lovingly restored. In as many cases as possible he gives money to the bands that he is in contact with from the sale

I purchased a CD, and it's simply amazing! He put a lot of work into it and I am thankful to get this limited offer deal. Many songs I have never heard and it's going to take months just to get all these tracks onto a CD. If you haven't ordered yours yet
