No, I wasn't subliminally taken in by the erect banana and the cherries at the bottom. This is some downright catchy junk, courtesy of the dude from Telex. Her lyrics are absolute nonsense and most of the songs are really hokey and, yet, the music and Lio's earnestness as a performer are compelling. I remember hearing an English version of this song back in the mid-80s and thinking she wasn't much different from the tons of foreign Italo Disco and Euro Disco Pop songs of the time... except she has about 20 years of cutting records![}:)]

Version en Anglais courtesy of the Mael brothers, New Wavers of Sparks fame[}:)]

Discography available through Forced Exposure and other major retailers at Amazon.com. The Ballades compilation cost me about $4USD, but the Pop Songs ran for $20USD.

Nice, I like it! So much so, I just picked up the 2005 box set (all 7 albums remastered w/ the DVD of many of the vids). Not cheap, found it for 79 euros from a party in France. Another group on Ebay selling the set for 119 euros. Couldn't find this box set anywhere else. Must not have printed many, even Zee records didn't have any for sale.

I enjoy Lio very much.

You may want to check out her pictorial in Lui magazine from the late 1980s. This was before the invention of the razor or the discovery of wax[}:)]
