The first single from the new album "History of Modern" is called "If You want It." Will be released September 6th with tons of trendy remixes. NME has a free download of the Villa Nah remix here:

Can't wait for the album, sounds like it will be in the mould of Sugar Tax, which is my fave OMD album. Hope to go to Hamburg in November to watch them in concert.

Yeah the track I heard sounds like stuff from Sugar Tax so this should be one awesome album.

Yeah, I totally agree on the weakness of this cd single. Super super boring. Why do bands always do this, pick a bad song for the first single. They should have released that other song that sounded like the stuff from Sugar Tax. [:(!]

Has anybody heard the original version of this song yet? I haven't, but until I do, I'll reserve judgement on this. This particular remix does sound like it sucked some life out of the tune, but I do do hear a good song in there. To my ears, reminiscent of early OMD.

I like it!

And this is the original mix of "If You Want It." Not drastically different than the remix we heard, but definitely has a more produced sound. Really good! (Terrible video, though.)

Already pre-ordered the album...

Pretty good stuff. I really liked Modern Part 1 and 2, very good melodic synthpop. [:D]
