25 years ago, on September 16, 1985, a new album came out that is a classic. Kate Bush probably creates her own genre and cannot simply settle as part of the new wave era--but her use of the fairlight (starting on "The Dreaming" and then "Hounds of Love") and her strong songwriting and I'm sure many, many takes on her vocals provided an outstanding album. "Hounds of Love" is one of THE albums I often turn first for inspiration, solace, angst, and simply to make me look at the world around me once again (while also looking into myself deeply and my imagination).

Happy Birthday, Hounds of Love. May you always catch me! :)

Here's the album again, broken into parts on YouTube:

This album is a gem. It is just a pity that Kate didn't do a real extended version of "Hounds Of Love". Instead she only released this alternative version.

I think the album goes perfectly with the atmosphere fall creates.

My favorite album is "The Red Shoes".
