Just learned something I never knew before. in the early 80s, Alice Cooper tried his hand at a more quirky 'new wave' sound for four albums--all of which were pretty much rejected by his long time fans. Although I had the awesome track Clones, which used to get airplay on WLIR, I had never sampled these four CDs in full, and have finally gotten around to doing so and ordering them. What shocked me as I listened to sound samples on amazon is that when I clicked on a song called "I Like Girls" on the album Zipper Catches Skin (fricking OUCH!), instead of Alice Cooper's voice, I heard none other than the voice of Patty Donahue of the Waitresses! She actually laid down some vocals for this song for Cooper's album--I guess sort of his answer to "I Know What Boys Like".

From my understanding, this album and the following album "DaDa" Alice has no recollection of recording? I guess this was his days of heavy drinking.
More trivia:
The song "Look At You Over There, Ripping The Sawdust From My Teddybear," was listed on the album packaging, but was removed by Cooper from the album itself before the release, as he felt it didn't fit with the overall theme. It was later released in demo form on the box set The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper, and again in demo form on the 2010 reissue of Special Forces. There is a completed studio version of the song which remains unreleased.
"7 and 7 Is" was a cover of Love's original, written by Arthur Lee.

Yeah, i read that too, that he doesn't remember those recordings. Too which I say, so glad he was on stuff, because I LOVE that he sold out and took the 'new wave' route for a while. heh heh.
