Music reviews: Zuice - I'm a Survivor LP: Nice sounds do not an song make. Nor an album though 'Bless Your Lucky Stars' is good. 4/10

Q-Feel - S/T LP: Good new wave album with 'Dancing in Heaven' being the stand out track though 'Dr of the Radio' is also very decent. A CD re-release is overdue for this album. 7/10

Hajime Tachibana - Hm LP: A soundtrack to a lost Japanese RPG. 3/10

Trainspotters - High Rise: Aka DJ Mike Read, a good mod-pop single and proves that he can be more than an average DJ. This was used as the theme music for his show. 6.5/10

The News - 50% Reduction: This is rollicking powerpop which reminds me of Small Ads in places. Heartfelt, driving, this band should of gone places if they didn't board the Titanic of music, the good ship SS UK Powepop. 9/10

Last Gang-Sprit of Youth: Joy Division clones. 3/10

The Freeze - In Colour EP: No wonder Andy Partridge likes them so much. Paranoia the pick, but even so there's not a bad track on here. Great punk release. 7/10

Goo-Q - I'm a Computer: Sweet synth track about about the ups & downs of being a computer and it's all rather lovely. The b-side is a straight ahead pop song with some excellent drumming by Pete Thomas of the Attractions. 6.5/10
