update on the cd issue saga from band member Cliff Hewitt

"Hi there,
Cliff from ME. I know it's been some time since I last posted anything but we still haven't given up hope on the Fiction Tales re-release and of course, the unreleased tracks from album no.2. I will be in touch with EMI again in Jan-Feb 2011 and hope to have a solution soon after.
Regarding all the BBC sessions, again it is really expensive to re-license these sessions from thee BBC but again, we are hoping to get this sorted.
Thank you all for your kind words.
Kind regards,
Cliff Hewitt"

This is a shame because Fiction Tales is one of the great lost albums of the 80's post-punk era.

Hopefully this is resolved soon because if EMI isn't interested, then it's time to allow a label who is interested to reissue it (or allow the band to issue it themselves). Regarding the BBC, they surely wouldn't be worried about a windfall of lost profits here...this is a band who only put out one album and is now a fascinating footnote of the era, as good as the music was.
