A Very 80's Christmas on Long Island Radio and Web

Tomorrow morning (Saturday, aka Christmas Day) from 9AM to 11AM on Long Island's 90.3FM, I'm continuing my holiday tradition of co-hosting "A Very 80's Christmas."

(It's a cool, non-paying hobby that lets me play some music from extensive collection of Holiday songs released or recorded from 1/1/80-12/31/89.)

The Waitresses & "Christmas Wrapping", Band Aid &"Do They Know It's Christmas?", yeah, you'll hear all of them. Plus, Wham!, Erasure, The Pretenders, The Pogues, etc., etc.

And this year, for the first time ever, the station is streaming live on the web. So, you don't have to be in the listening area--or next to a radio--to hear the shows. You can be anywhere in the state/country/world. Just go to http://www.ncc.edu/whpc and click on "Listen Live."

I don't know if the holiday falling on a Saturday is good or bad for people tuning in, but I guess that kids can open their presents to the strains of the 80's, like we did.
