Favorite Sparks Album

Postby DevoManiac101 » Wed Jan 12, 2005 11:17 pm

Hi, I was wondering what everyone's favorite Sparks album would be? I am a big Sparks fan myself and I would have to go with "Whomp That Sucker" It's simply a masterpiece, the album cover alone makes this a PERFECT Sparks album! I want to know what all you guys think?

Thanks, Justin/DevoManiac101

Of their 70's stuff, it is definitely "Kimono My House". Great stuff like "This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us", "Amateur Hour" and "Thank God It's Not Christmas" I think every song on the album is a winner. Of their 80's stuff, I like "Angst

I'll have to go with Angst in My Pants. Of course, Plagiarism wins if you include compilation type albums.

'Kimono My House'... that's the album that sparked my interest back in the day. I remember seeing them on either Midnight Special or Don Kirschner's Rock Concert (or both?) and being blown away. I'm still a sucker for the first five albums and often dig t

No other "Whomp That Sucker" fans? That album held many great songs such as:

Tips For Teens
Funny Face
I Married A Martian
Don't Shoot Me
Wacky Women
and my favorite..... Upstairs!

How to choose just one? I really dig all the Moroder-and-afterwards material. The 70's stuff is good, really good, but I like the synthy stuff more.

Fave song is Moustache. 100 hairs make the man!
