hello experts,

one of my favorite 12" discs of my junior high days was the Dolby "Get Out Of My Mix/Get On Out Of My Mix"....have good memories of late-night headphone listening to both sides and now looking for both full sides in digital format. if need be i know i could easily find a good copy of the original 12" and digitize it, but what fun would that be?!!

anyway, my question is - can anyone point me to where i can find CD versions of both sides? i recently purchased the remastered version of The Flat Earth, but that has only a shortened version of one side. it seems the 12x12 CD includes the same (but full) version. is there any CD that includes the other side, originally titled "Get On Out Of My Mix"?

thanks for any info you can provide! some midlife crises involve Corvettes, motorcycles or 18-year old girlfriends. apparently mine just (as of yet) has to do with listening to these tracks again. go figure.

As far as I know, having paid reasonably close attention, I've never seen the b-side on CD. But if you do find it, let me know!

Such a great 12" single! I was hoping the version on the Silk Pajamas cd single would be the B-side version, but it just seems to be an edit of the eight minute A-side version.

There's a youtube video of a guy spinning the A-side, but unfortunately not the B-side. I might have to dig my old copy out to remember how it goes.

Wasn't the B-side just the efx sans beat? That's all I can remember about the flip. I loved the extended version and thought it was brilliant of Dolby taking full advantage of the burgeoning hip hop/street scene happening at the time. It was an ingenious sample record!!!!

thanks for the replies! i think the b-side was (more or less) the a-side without beatz, yep. but probably the more interesting - in my fading memory - of the two. various samples lifted from Europa And The Pirate Twins, in addition to some extra stuff.

will continue searching and if i come up with anything interesting will definitely share.
