Don't Walk Past?

There are many to choose from. I really like the punkier feel of early tracks like Same Old Place and Factory Living, but then there's the new wave brilliance of Radio Silence, powerful tunes like Video Verite, Chinese Graffiti, Up To You and Shellshocked. Tracks like All Your Time, Head Over Heels and Around You are danceable delights, and Take Me To War has a fantastic climax. The unreleased song Equalizer available on the 2007 CD of Falling sounds amazingly similar to Kick era INXS.

I have to go with Radio Silence.

Can't choose just one. Take Me To War followed by Radio Silence, All Of Your Time, Video Verite and I Walk Alone. Something about Chinese Graffiti grates on me.

Sam The Record Man, Canada's great chain retailer, finally closed shop on June 30, 2007, and as I was lining up to make my final purchases, Sam's son - Jason Sniderman, who was presiding over the closing firesale - happened by. I thanked him for his family's service, and thanked him for those sparkly synths he'd laid all over the poppier 1983-84 Blue Peter records...and then broke from the line to scoop up a couple of the reissued BP CDs. (Oops!)

It was a nice, random way to wind down the then-lifelong Sam The Record Man experience.

Oh: Next-bests, for me: Falling, Around You, and then Take Me To War.

Falling. I have good memories associated with it.

I was there as well, great store. Sometimes a little expensive, but found some unique rare stuff there. I mourn Sams and the Record Peddler.

Take me to war is a great tune, but I always loved Living in the 80s and Do the robot. Great tunes...

For me it would have to be Radio Silence.

Didn't buy much from Sam's, but I lived in the Peddlar's import section for a few years, esp. when they were on Queen St.
