No, this isn't another "this" vs. "that" thread. This alludes to those vinyl releases that first came out in the UK, and then when they were released to the U.S., you'd find the record had certain songs left off from its UK counterpart, only to find other tracks put in their place on the U.S. release. I guess the most famous example of this is the first Clash album (which was actually their second to be released in the States). Anyway, I was wondering if any of you had bought both copies of such titles, and if so, which ones were they? I didn't do this usually, I figured I could buy the U.S. release and find the other songs as b-sides and the like (sometimes it worked out, sometimes it didn't). The two albums I did buy twice, though, were from the Fabulous Poodles ("Mirror Stars" in the U.S. and "Unsuitable" in the UK) and Simon F. ("Gun" in the U. S. and "Gun Control" in the UK). In both of these cases, I didn't think the other tracks would get released any other way, so I bought the albums twice.

One of the most glaring examples I remember vividly was Depeche Mode's <I>Speak & Spell[/i]. The American release basically had the same track list, but at least a couple of the key tracks had been "remixed for the American market". The new mixes sucked
