We all know the 'popular' 80s new wave hits, but there are so many great album tracks that epitomize our personal tastes in new wave. So, when you're listening to your iPods and come across a favorite, post here. I'd be curious to see what songs people think are totally awesome new wave treasures not played on new wave radio. I, for instance, am listening to my 80s playlist on my pod, and just listened to:
Berlin - "Tell Me Why"
Totally takes me back to the early 80s.

I was just listening to The Psychedelic Furs track "Alice's House" from Mirror Moves. Love that song.

Since I have a Sansa Clip, the track I recently came across is:
Jellybean - Sidewalk Talk

The Fixx - Facing The Wind
Could never have been a single, but the keyboard whistling during the chorus is ethereal. [:)]

Just listened to "Love is Reason" by a-ha from their first album. Very Erasure...before Erasure. Too bad this was never a single with an extended mix.

Man...Book of Love. A shame that Boy is pretty much the only song LIR/DRE played here in NY.

These are actually the songs that I usually love from the bands more than their hits. Like your example of Berlin, I love "Pleasure Victim" and "When We Make Love". Don't know where to start so I'll just pick a handful from some of my top bands.
Pet Shop Boys - King's Cross, Violence, Later Tonight
Hubert Kah - Midnight Sun, Lonesome Cowboy
Alphaville - Carol Masters, Victory of Love, Fallen Angel
Talk Talk - I Don't Believe In You, Tomorrow's Started
Camouflage - In Your Ivory Tower, Falling
Clan of Xymox (Xymox) - Evelyn, In The City, Their 1st 2 Albums

Listening to Where Do The Boys Go by Men Without Hats right now. This, I Got the Message, Walk on Water--so many fantastic synthpop tracks that never got any airplay.

Listening to "It's So Serious" by Talk Talk, and I definitely have to add a few of their songs to my faves, including b-sides like "?". Also Today and Another Word are personal faves. And while I'm at it, I might as well say most of the first PSeudo Echo album--I still don't understand how new wave radio completely ignored it here in NY.
