Songs With Harmonicas

Nothing says New Wave more than the sound of a harmonica blazing through a song.
Well, maybe not but there were some catchy harmonica riffs back in the day. "Good Girls Don't"- The Knack and "Church Of The Poison Mind"- Culture Club come to mind.

'Hand In Glove' by the Smiths, their first single. Supposedly Johnny Marr put the harmonica bit in there to mimic the Beatles' 'Love me Do', which was their first single.

Good Girls Don't was the first song I thought of when I read the title of the post.
I think Romantics - What I Like About You is another classic, and I love the harmonica in Middle of the Road by the Pretenders.

I always thought that New Order's Love Vigilantes was Bernard with that crazy big white melodica/recorder thing that he used back on Your Silent Face.
Still looking for my girl with auburn hair and tawny eyes...

Don't Midnight Oil use harmonicas? It's been a while since I've listened to anything by them.
Funny, although it's not new wave, I just heard Take the Long Way Home by Supertramp on the radio on the way to work. Some serious harmonica in that song.

Yeah, Midnight Oil used harmonicas, the most famous example probably being "Blue Sky Mine," but that's post-new wave.
Oh, and their fellow Aussies INXS had some major harmonica on "Suicide Blonde."
