I have to admit I missed this the first time around. Has anyone heard of PH.D. since?

MTV is so lame now they didn't have any 30th anniversary shows on MTV, they put them all on VH1 Classic.

The last thing I watched on MTV was Daria which shows how long since I last seen it.
VH1 was great at first, playing videos that normally wouldn't see the light of day but now it's just a clone of MTV.

Great stuff! It's pretty cool to see the very beginning. I don't know anyone who was watching in person that day, but even watching this youtube clip you can feel something new in the air. I've always loved that the chose The Buggles to kick it off.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! I watched this crap for 3 days hoping to see some vintage MTV that I know and love, but there really wasn't much, and they repeated the same things over and over. It was cool to see some of the old TV spots, commercials and classic MTV contests, but i felt I wasted A LOT of time hoping to see something cool and I didn't.
It was interesting to watch the very 1st hour of MTV ever, I don't think I ever saw that..but after that I was hungry for more and it never came =(
I can tell you I still watch 120 Minutes every WED, SAT & SUN on VH1 they changed the time again and that sucks but luckily my trusty DVR found it again. I like to tape it and fast forward though all of the videos I've seen 1,000 times and the commercials, but every once in awhile I see a video I've never seen or a rare video I haven't seen in years like Ministry- Revenge. my only request is that the programmer realize that Depeche Mode made more videos than just People Are People. Last night ( Sat) they played People Are People twice. I LOVE Depeche too, but what the hell?
MTV as we used to know and love is long dead R.I.P..but I'm glad they brought back 120 mins, not as good without a host or a real programmer, but it's still something. I only wish they'd bring back Subterranean.
