New Wave Outpost Forum

This one's broken up into two parts, the "Early Years" from 1976 to 1982 and "Latter Years" from 1983 to 1988. This way we can find out who's the King/Queen of Old School and King/Queen of New School. I'm hoping it's a cool demographic study.

NOTE: I was originally going to put a credit I had to jfiber's Suerpfecta/TheIdealCopy site up for grabs to whoever gets the most points total. However, to help cross-promote The Ideal Copy, enter his contest which is a subset of this one and get a REALLY cool price for winning. You know my style...classic hits for the most part so everyone can go "Man, I haven't listened to that cool tune in years!" or something like that. There's even a year guide for plenty of hints. Well THAT was fast...Grayson must be having a slow, lousy, rainy Sunday too. He chimes in immediately as standard bearer with a balanced 58 and 65 - neither johnny-come-lately nor grumpy old veteran but a well-rounded fan. Nice!

Some interesting figures after two handfuls of responses. We've got a 48 average on Early with 2 songs still unanswered, #s 124 and 145 with Otters knocking off a couple more. The Latter average is a higher 51.5 but with a whopping 8 songs unanswered, #s

geee....i'll be 36 yrs. old next month...i'm honored to called a whippersnapper ! but yes, the Latter Years were more my "specialty". in 1980, i was 12, and just starting to get into music. i probably heard much of the late 70's Wave after the fact.
