Lead singer of one of my fave Bands of the 80's and 90's met her peace earlier today after a long battle with Cancer and M.S.

RIP - thank you for the music.

Ugh, that's awful news.
I really enjoyed the Divinyl's 1983 album Desperate.
Sad and early end to this singer's story.

I saw that. Sad news. One of my favorite songs from them is Siren: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_gmGLLlJ3Y.

Very sad news...Iva Davies (Icehouse) eulogises her on his FB page. She was such an icon here in Australia that even the Prime Minister offered her condolences.

RIP Chrissie, taken too soon.

Very sad and what suffering she had to endure. A true talent -- always loved her vocal style and her sultry/quirky antics. Thankful Divinyls made a much deserved break in the States even if it wasn't our favorite song here on the board.

An Australian friend told me that the "Essential Divinyls" made it to the top spot on the Australian iTunes download list yesterday. A mere 22 years after its release. Too bad it took her death to get more sales. RIP Chrissie.
