Im looking for epic rock. Lots of it. Its a new flaire interest of mine.
Heres what I am talking about...something that sounds remotely like the 2nd half of this clip...
epic sounding...
could be easily placed in a fantasy setting.

The genre you are seeking is often referred to as Progressive Rock or Prog Rock for short. Try any Rush album from 1978-80 (2112, Permanent Waves, Hemispheres, Farewell To Kings). Don't go for any of the greatest hits collections; you'll most want those

I concur with Fritz regarding Rush. Also, Fish-era Marillion (82-88) would be a good place to start for 80's prog rock with epic leanings.

Hey.
I loved the Legend Soundtrack.
I own it and have the video. My ex girlfriend put up with that, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Aliens series....
and on and on....
She hated how she couldnt get the grasp of my close knit circle of 3 friend

Geez...all this time I thought it was Peter Gabriel.
All I know of Supertramp is the Breakfast in America album.. So many people say their other albums stink..but I think I'll give them a listen on FYE.
