hi!which was the most stylisized band,that influenced new romantic pop and our lovely new wave beyond Roxy Music and David Bowie? For me the answer is The Metro!Metro was the answer of Peter Godwin and Duncan Browne to both glam rock storm and new wave fresh rage!Their magical record is a silent voyage in the most esoteric human moods,an alternative look to Bryan Ferry irresistible singing and glam rock's harsh reality.It was the end of traditional rock era,and they knew it!That's why they created an amagalm of art rock and a type of european pop,predating Japan and Spandau Ballet.After that ,there was the end!Peter Godwin got into nice 80s pop after a small punk trial ''The Public Zone''.Duncan Browne also followed solo career.But their lonely record remains a fine example of these confused times,that also bowie tried to immitate!Listen to ''criminal world'' from Bowie's ''let's dance''.

I agree, I have metro's lp and both solo efforts. and I think they are terribly underrated. Duncan's solo stuff was a good fusiin effort and Peter's lush romantic electro pop should've gone farther.

I love Metro. It's one of the few overpriced Japanese CD's I actually bought. I also have a 3 of Duncan Browne's CD's but I don't have Peter Godwin on CD. I do have the "Images of Heaven" EP from the 80's as well as the 12 inch single of "Baby's in the
