Name That Tune Volume 20

Postby fritzb » Fri Mar 04, 2005 11:06 pm

Name That Tune Volume 20[/b]

In honor of this being the 20th Name That Tune[/b] game, I have chosen to make this kind of a Best Of[/i] game. Roughly half of the songs have appeared in previous editions of the game, though I'm not saying which songs or which games. So, if you saved all of your samplers from the games and went to the trouble of reviewing them all, you could potentially get a few more points than you might otherwise. If you think it is worth it, knock yourself out! [:p]

As with previous games, all of the tracks are the standard single or album versions, except for the very last song (#25), which is an Extended 12" Mix. [8D]

As usual there are a total of 25 songs clips. The game is on a 100 points basis (2 point for artist, 2 point for title). Partial credit will be given for responses that are "close" to correct. There are 2 seconds of silence between song clips. Download your response form below and email it to me for tabulation when you're finished (my email address is on the form). Make sure to put your forum screen names on your answers, so I know who you are. I will send the Answer Sheet to everyone who sends me their responses (if you don't hear from me within 24 hours, I probably didn't get your email). Don't post your responses here!

Here's the link for the response form (my email address is on it):

Here's the song sampler link:
NameThatTune20.mp3

The game will end on Friday March 18 at 4PM EST[/b].

Good Luck! [:)]

Once again you've forced me to admit that I have a keep grasp of nothing but the obvious. Thanks though!

Game Update[/b]

With a half dozen earlybird responses in hand, this game appears to be pretty tough, especially for players relatively new to the game.

Currently the average score is a fairly modest 49 points. Despite the difficulty, only 4 song

Midgame Update[/b]

Most of you are doing quite well on the first half of the game. It's the second half that seems to be causing the lower than usual scores. If you feel like you've pretty much hit the wall at #13, apparently you're not alone! So

I am downloading the game right now, I have been quite busy lately that it has been difficult to even keep up with the last few games. As soon as I give this game a few listens I will send in my response form right away so I don't miss out and forget when
