Who were the oldschool rock musicians or singers that embraced punk-new wave? That means those who produced records, played in bands or simply supported the music of that era.I can remember the following; Bill Nelson,Robert Fripp(with League of Gentlemen),Mick Ronson(producer of Slaughter and the Dogs),Nik Turner(Inner City Unit,Hawklords)Ian Hunter(great supporter of the scene, used to play with Boomtown Rats},Kim Fowley,Andrian Belew,Kevin Coyne(recorded in cherry red),Brian Eno-most of all.Any other names? Thanks.

Nick Lowe went from pub-rocker to embracing the punk movement and recording the Damned. In fact, a lot of previously pub-rock bands jumped into the NW movement - Graham Parker, Ian Dury, Dave Edmunds, Eddie and the Hot Rods, etc.
