New Wave Unplugged

What is your favourite 'unplugged' version of a new wave song. Whether it be an acoustic or orchestral studio version or a stripped-down alternate live version.
Of late, the unplugged version of Alphaville's 'Forever Young' from 'Dreamscapes' is definitely one of mine. I also think 'A Soulful Re-recording' of 'I Believe' by Tears For Fears falls into this category. A far superior version to the one on 'Songs From The Big Chair', IMHO.

An great acoustic version of "Wouldn't It Be Good" appears on Nik Kershaw's album To Be Frank as well as a hidden bonus track at the end of the 15 Minutes CD.

I don't think I would really call them new wave but I just loved 10,000
Maniacs unplugged version of “Because the night”. Natalie Merchant has such an incredible sounding voice! It's too bad she left the group - they WERE cool!

I've got a couple shows of Squeeze unplugged that are pretty great. Also, the box set of Costello/Nieve from the mid 90's is excellent.

The Cure's MTV Unplugged and acoustic bonus disc on Greatest Hits were both wonderful. You can beat acoustic Just Like Heaven. You just can't.

i never thought about acoustic NW songs before. And I've never heard of any of these. The only one I think I'v heard is Duran Duran's "The Chauffer", AND IT IS REALLY GOOD!
