FGTH - Liverpool -

One of the classics from the 80's is without any doubt the dobbel LP: Welcome to the Pleasure, by FGTH.
But the follow up:Liverpool, never got the same positive rewievs back then and the LP sold guite poor.
But I consider Liverpool also as a great album and it should have gotten better rewievs back then.
Just listen to Rage Hard, Lunar Bay, Watching the Wildlife, For Heaven's Sake and Warriors of the Wasteland. Classics everyone !

Is it only me that think Liverpool also should be considered as one of the best albums from 80's ?

I agree. I think Liverpool was highly underrated.

same here, very underrated.
i think because it was a little rockier, it confused people. the ztt "sheen" was there, but it wasn't clever the way pleasuredome was. i think lipson produced this, instead of trevor horn.

Your right, Bruiser. Liverpool is a bit rockier than Pleasuredome, but who did it confuse? The fans/listeners or the critics? Or both?
It sure did not confuse me, but it took some listenings and then the album just become better and better, like good alb
