I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the Pretenders inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame this year. [:D]

Who in the new wave scene do you think should be nominated next, and who has been left off the list so far?

My nominee would include Echo & the Bunnymen but I know they won't make it. I would love to see XTC inducted, they really deserve it.

I'd love to see Blondie inducted.
I always thought Patti Smith was in there, I was suprised to find she wasn't.

I'm just glad the Talking Heads made it in a few years ago, they are amazing.

100% agree. And Blondie was quite successful financially in tbeir hey day.

I also think The Cars and The Cure should be in there.

Depeche Mode should be inducted. They've been together for 25 years now. And with the exception of Kraftwerk, have been the most influential electronic artist.

I was going to post the same thing about Depeche Mode. But their first release was less than 25 years ago, which I believe is the minimum requirement for entry. And their first US release was ???.

Not sure who's in the hall or not, but how about some B-52s...

I agree with Motor Man . The Cars & The Cure Should make it into the rock n' roll hall of fame .

Is Roxy Music in the Hall of Fame? Perhaps not a huge success in the U.S. but undeniably influential

Numan was quite innovative. He should have a spot in there somewhere.

Sadly, though, the RRHOF seems to be based too much on popularity.
