I dont know about anyone else but I have a question about this song. When it first came out--I hated it. Also--I dont remember it getting much airplay --AT ALL!!!! Sooooooooo......why is it on almost every comp cd out there? Why does it seem it is always played on those "80's themed" radio nights on many stations--the nights they usually play crap like Mickey with a few good songs mixed in?
And...whats your opinion about this song? I always hated it..until..I got overdosed on listening to my daughters boy band britanny pop rap crap coming from her room. I actually--though not liking the song--dont mind it anymore. After all-would I rather hear that or crap like 50 cent , Jay z , Timberlake and the like!!!!

it always seems to me like those comp cds throw on whatever tracks they can get the licensing for on the cheap...and as for the song, I haven't heard it since who knows when, but as soon as I read the title of this thread that hook jumped right into my he

Total "Toto" Coelo are a great band!
I Eat Cannibals was just their first single, they also had 2 other minor releases in the UK after that, the first being Milk From The Coconut and the next being Dracula's Tango. I have their greatest hits and there ar

"I Eat Cannibals" actually did get a lot of airplay -- well, here in New York, anyway. It was actually a Top 20 hit back in 1983. I know that in England they were known as Toto Coelo, but they had to change their name to Total Coelo for release here in

Actually part of the reason songs like that make it onto many compilations is because when the record companies release the rights to use songs...they often do it on the stipulation that you'll also use some songs they want you to use on your compilation.

I'm with DevoM. on this one. Once you see the video, you're hooked. It seems to be a common note here, that it's the type of song that grows on ya.

I'm a little more forgiving with this song now, but when it was released, I thought it was one of the dumbest, silliest things I heard, but it's still damn catchy and I always like the production on it. The lyrics made me ill, but the instrumentation was

I somehow avoided ever hearing or seeing it when it originally came out. I first heard it on the Living in Oblivion compilation when it came out. Loved it cuz it was so different and bouncy and.........80s-ish but now I'm sick of it and skip over it whe

This song got massive play here on KROQ when it came out. Not a big fan of this song, but it fits on comps next to other 'odd' new wave trax by Wide BOy Awake, Hayzee Fantazie, etc

I remember the watching the video, but I can't recall how it looked.

I too thought it was a dumb song then, but I did scoop up a $1 copy of the 12" a few years ago just because, well....it's just from that era, you know? I'd rather have it than not.

I like their songs but I can never take this band or act really seriously. The most amazing thing to me was they managed to pull enough songs together to make an entire cd. I can't believe a band like Total Coelo has a cd out and there are no cd's relea
