well, i just posted about the new fischerspooner. and i'm loving the new daft punk too, they (like all the other class of 2001-02 electro bands) are incorporating guitars into their stuff now. and i never got on here and said how much i loved felix da housecat's last cd, "devin dazzle"- so 80's it hurts. the two new kylie minogue singles are fantastic, one sounding like a lost kim wylde single. of course gwen stefani's l.a.m.b. cd even has new order and wendy and lisa on it, so you know what it sounds like. i love it for it's sheer disposability.
now, if you like more guitars in the mix i'd recommend any of the new crop of neo-wave bands like interpol, the killers, hot hot heat, franz ferdinand, etc. oh! you know who i think is great? louis xiv. their cd is fantastic, and weird, and catchy, and mixed all under-produced. fab.

yep, you old fogies CAN enjoy music from today! so put away that haircut one hundred cassette and come into the now.

Yes, Louis XIV is excellent. I'm listening to it now. Ihaven't heard the new Fischerspooner but I'll ceheck it out.

I really like the Killers new cd and the new Greenday.
I haven't heard Felix da housecat Devin Dazzle & the Neon Fever yet. I am going to check it out.

As far as new stuff, I really really like Interpol. That song Slow Hand is awesome. Franz Ferdinand is pretty cool too.

LCD Soundsystem have a little 80's and disco vibe. I also second the nomination of VHS or Beta.

Most of Electroclash obviously spawns from the New Wave era sounds as well.

i just picked up the new OutHud (on vinyl of course!!) and it certainly has alot of the elements for a new wave devotee to like...
