The Essence

What do you guys think of the band "The Essence"
If you like the Cure then you will like the essence, as the band copied the sound and singing style of the cure.At times I sometimes cant tell the two apart.
I think the band is from Holland. They recorded in the mid 80`s on a small label call Midnight Music. I have "A monument of trust, Purity, and Dancing in the rain(a best of).
They stuff is hard to find but should not be overlooked.

At times, they sound more like The Cure than The Cure.

They are superb in every way. I don't care if they sound like The Cure, there are worse things. Actually, they have several releases not mentioned. To my knowledge, I have all their releases, and I believe the B-sides as well:

Full Length CD's: Purity,

The song "how you make me hate" is just pure venom.
God I love it.

The Essence, to me, sound like the Cure would have sounded if they'd stuck with the 'Faith'/'Seventeen Seconds' sound instead of the twists and turns they took since then....

Still, I like the Essence's track "Like Christ" better than I like most Cure
