Here's a quote from a Paste magazine article about 80s music.
"I think Corey Hart's vocals on Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" are brilliant-the timbre of his voice aches in all the right places, and the guitar part sounds like a gentle rain against it."
Corey Hart sang backup on TAT? I never knew that. Not sure why I even care it's just one of those music trivia things that I should know. Or is it not true?.........

I always thought it was the guy from the Hooters. I thought they wrote the song together, and I could've sworn I saw them perform it together on tv during the 80s.

Cyndi, if you read this.........PLEASE return that engagement ring I sent!! [:I]

Yeah, it was definitely Rob Hyman of The Hooters. He co-wrote the song with Cyndi. In fact, The Hooters regularly played the song at their shows around the same time period. [8D]

The very idea of a Corey Hart/Cyndi Lauper compilation shakes the very roots of my perception of the 80s music scene. [Shudder]

Edited: Sorry, I meant to say "collaboration", not compilation. Must have been asleep.

Yes it certainly was Rob Hyman. I saw them perform this tune live (Rob and Eric from the Hoots w Cyndi) at Temple U's spring fling around in the early 80s.
