New Epoxies album!

Postby Natephish » Thu Apr 21, 2005 1:45 am

This isn't exactly new wave, but I know many people here are Epoxies fans, due to their great nu new wave style. Here's the info:

http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/news/05-0 ... ml#epoxies

Witness the Epoxies, a Portland quintet with noms du blank like Shock Diode and FM Static. Fronted by android pinup Roxy Epoxy, their catchy, winning self-titled 2002 debut on Dirtnap took the campy B-movie pop of the Rezillos and juiced it with synth blurts to charming effect, followed by endless tours in spectacular duct-tape stage outfits (we're so totally not making this shit up). Now, their official site tells us that Stop the Future, the second Epoxies album, is in the Fat Wreck Chords pipeline for a May 21 release. With songs:

01 Radiation
02 This Day
03 Synthesized
04 Robot Man
05 Wind Me Up
06 Everything Looks Beautiful on Video
07 Stop The Future
08 Struggle Like No Other
09 No Interest
10 You Kill Me
11 At the Seams
12 It's You
13 Toys

Which also means it's back into the RV for the next round of Epoxies road warrior evangelism, including a few gigs this week supporting the Feargal Sharkey-less Undertones:

04-20 San Jose, CA - Blank Club *
04-21 San Francisco, CA - Cafe du Nord *
