Karl Wallinger of World Party and of the Waterboys passed away at age 66

I was able to see World Party in concert in 1987 at the Santa Monica Civic and able to meet with Karl Wallinger afterwards.
He was very kind. They also sang as an encore The Beatles "Day in the Life" since it was the 20th anniversary of Sgt Pepper's record.
He will be missed.

Not many guys from the New Wave era can claim not one but two world class acts on their resume. Karl could and was awesome. RIP
