Hello to you all, I love doing reviews.

After having seen the 'new' Berlin in concert at a local festival, I was instantly hooked and proceeded to try to find some of the band's original work. I was able to purchase a rare, signed EP while at the festival, but I had to have more once I heard them. As far as the band, which we seemingly hadn't heard from since their smash "Take My Breath Away", I didn't know what to expect from them as a live act. Let's just say that Terri Nunn has a greatly sensual stage presense and she gives her all in performances, even climbing up onto the concert scaffolding. Soon after, I found Pleasure Victim, and added it to my collection.

Pleasure Victim is a short plateau album for Berlin that contains three of the group's biggest singles. The Metro, which I first heard way back in 1983 while walking to library with my walkman on, and my thought at the time was, "Rad, man!" (Can you tell that I am a child of the eighties?) Also included are Sex (I'm A...) which I had not heart until I saw them in concert, and Masquerade, which has a great lyrical hint to a certain community. Torture is a mysterious, hypnotic love-lost ballad that makes for an uncharacteristic ending to this fast paced album.

If anything, Berlin are another shining example of why the 80s were so good to the state of pop music, and Pleasure Victim is a must have if you are a fan.

"Pleasure Victim" was one of (if not the first) NW EP I bought. Although I didn't possess it long after my mother heard "Sex (I'm A...) blaring from my bedroom. Yep, she absconded with it.

Some Trivia: Here in Canada, there was some gospel group called Berlin, so the Pleasure Victim EP was released as Berlin U.S.A.

I have Pleasure Victim on CD and I noticed something. In the credits in the end it says: "John Crawford: Bass, Synthesizer, Vocals David Diamond: Synthesizer, Guitar, Vocals Terri Nunn: Vocals, BJs"

Does that last part mean what I think it means....[:0][?]
