Just purchased their DVD video anthology. Have been a "spud" for many years and realized that their great videos, as raw as they are, would've been INCREDIBLE with todays technology. Great, great band!!

Their early stuff was pure genius, but they jumped the shark badly by the late 80's. Started sounding like they were imitating all the synthpop bands that imitated them.

I'm really amused by the resurgance of "Whip It" in the Schwiffer commericals and just recently being done on "American Idol". I had read a critic's view in one of the local papers saying that Devo has become part of the very commercialism that they sang
