Thanks for all the replies, but I had heard that the remaining band members were in the studio recording an album and looking for a bass player to tour with. Just was wondering if that has gone anywhere.

I havent heard anything lately myself, so maybe thats a good thing? I hope that they are "holed up" in a studio recording the new album- All I heard was that there is going to be a fan club site for the Cars so thats a good sign also but no one knows when

The problem is that actually I have the strange feeling that Ric Ocasek may not be part of this, because he never has wanted to do it! I did hear some rumours about just Elliot Easton, David Robinson, and Greg Hawkes doing it, even without Ric! I hope tha

He had one of the best voices ever and great style and great bass skills. Also, he was quite sexy.
I guess Ric is still married to Paulina. Did they have any kids together? [?] I wonder what they look like - hopefu
