Despite the obvious superiority of Pretty In Pink, Molly Ringwald is in negotiations for a Sixteen Candles sequel. Ooh, sexy girlfriend! [:p]

I'm pretty psyched about this, obviously [:o)]

Hopefully, it'll be done well. In any event, I'll bet the opening night crowd will be a blast.

The chance of this is slim to none Otters. Unless, of course, they have a decent script (impossible), and can manage to get all the major players from the original cast to commit (highly unlikely).

I'd like to be optimistic and think that since Molly Ringwald has rejected advances for years and only is now interested because she's seen a script she likes, it may be OK. Then again, maybe she's just deciding to cash in while the 80's thing is hot.

You know Long Duck Dong (always loved that name) will be in there. What the hell as he done since then? He's probably been dreaming of this sequel for the past 20 years [:D][:p] I think it'll be a blast!

He was my favorite in that movie. The guy who live across the street from me looks just like him! His name in Donk, so I always call him Long Duck Donk. (not to his face of course!)[:D]

Actually, <A HREF="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0913797/">Gedde Watanabe</A> has, arguably, had one of the more successful post 16 Candles careers - most notably, a recurring role on the Yosh Takata on the TV series "ER"

I haven't seen Gedde on ER in a few of years though. He was on quite a bit in the early seasons. I'd always think of "Big American Girlfriend" when he was on.

Molly was on the MTV movie awards for a "Breakfast Club" tribute. She's put on some weight. They gave the cast a huge popcorn trophy. Molly exclaimed "who's going to take this huge thing home?" I thought she was referring to herself. The sequel should be called "16 Tons".

As was Ally Sheedy and Anthony Michael Hall. And the teacher who held them in detention (I think). Actually, for me, the highlight was Zhang Zi Yi [:)]

They also flashed a pic of the janitor as well.
