OK, I'm waxing philosophic here - - -I found myself driving into work at 6am this morning.... on the car radio comes Journey's "Don't Stop Believing". For the first time in my life, I don't lunge for the station knob!!

There was a time in my life that I of course hated anything like that song - - it was the arch-enemy of all my favorite groups. Now, I hear it as being part of the "80's" and remember it with almost a sick type of 'fondness'...can associate it with that wonderful era.

I find this happening more and more....songs I've given the cold shoulder to for years suddenly I almost want to hear them - - like taking one last whiff of the milk even though you know it's sour; you can't help it.

Do you guys still hold a grudge, or are you able to forgive the crummy music of yesteryear?

In my case, I now realize that we NEEDED all that type of music to make 'our music' seem more special. We NEEDED hair-metal and endless Bon Jovi videos to make our appreciation of the Smiths (etc.) that much more important and special.
