This a.m. 107.7's "Resurrection Flashback" show is featuring Seattle music in the 80s (among all the regular flashback stuff).

I believe that this station streams at 1077theend.com and I think you can even play back the specialty shows like this one later.

Damn, why did I volunteer to make Fathers' Day brunch when I should be sitting on my a$$ listening to the radio?

You should really check out "Lite Wave" on 103.5 K-Lite, simulcasting over the Internet from Manila, Philippines. It's on every Saturday morning, beginning at 8 a.m. PST, I believe. You can tune in here:

Just write down the time & day it's on. It blows away any U.S. New Wave show. Expect to hear artists like the Lotus Eaters, Fra Lippo Lippi, Box of Toys, Rupert Everett, the Big Dish, Care, the Wild Swans, the Adventures, the Fat Lady Sings, the Screaming Blue Messiahs, Xmal Deutschland, Friends Again, the Chameleons, Balaam & the Angel, the March Violets, Johnny Hates Jazz, PM, Bill Pritchard,

Hey, me too! I read Hex's post and immediately went to the website. I've been listening to it for over an hour now while I paint the outside of the house. Pretty wild that we're listening to the same thing on opposite ends of the country. The Internet rules!

I listened to The End when I lived in the Seattle area in the 90's, but they didn't play any new wave then, only grunge. I recognize the DJ's voice from back then.

Because I am such a dutiful daughter I didn't get to listen to the whole thing. [:(] The only Seattle obscurity I heard was X-15's "Vaporized." Dunno when I'll get around to getting on the Hub but I'll sure be looking for that! I'll have to see if I can get the playlist later.

The End played a lot of New Wave from 1991-1993. They even had weekends devoted to nothing but '80s New Wave.

The only new wave show on radio in the Philippines (i believe). i learn something every week, that i missed during new wave's glory years.
