the cover version of "Be my friend" ! Originally done by "Free" ! I have liked them since 1981.The older I get--the more appreciation I have for Iva Davies. Anyone is welcome to zip an mp3 my way also !

Interesting stuff. The vocals sound a lot like Nile Rodgers (maybe conciously). Sounds like a Free/Bad Company song with synths.

Are you aware that the soundtrack of a movie called RAZORBACK was composed by Iva Davies? There is some interesting music on it. Better still , search out the movie it'll blow you out!!![;)]

Hey Bowie - funny you mentioned the Japanese imports. I actually found a used copy of the Japanese version of The Berlin Tapes prior to it being re-released. It had bonus tracks on it but different ones than the remastered version.

I love Icehouse too. I think the best Icehouse period was when they did the songs We Can Get Together, Icehouse, Can't Help Myself, and Walls.

"Not My Kind" off their first album was a big favorite. That album was a classic, IMO.

Prior to being named Icehouse they were called Flowers. I remember seeing them in I guess it was '79 at the beachside Avalon R.S.L.They did Bowie, Lou Reed and other glammy trashy covers.I thought yeah these guys have something, les than a year or so late
