If I had been able to post earlier today this would have better resonated...as it is I am only able to do so now.
Early this morning my local news station mentioned that today was the anniversary of the breakup of WHAM. Now I know all you New Wave aficionados out there would never admit to owning a copy of "Make It Big" but it did have 3 straight number one hits...so somebody had to buy it. I personally had the cassette but only because I picked it as my 10th selection in the Columbia House order form.........really...and anyway my sister liked them[B)]

B) I'm glad that your local news station thinks there's nothing more important to talk about.
C) I own Make it Big. I paid full price for it on LP, then on CD. But that's not my biggest Wham! shame. Let's just say it involved Andrew Ridgely and a glossy photo.

I'll admit being partial to 'All She Wants' and 'I'm Your Man' although the song lyrics always gave me pause to ponder George Michael's (True) feelings towards the opposite sex. [|)]

Such a tragedy.
I'll be right back.... I need to go lay down.

You have to be careful where you get your tissues these days.
Somehow, I miised out on the joy that was WHAM! Oh, well, you can't have everything.
And, no kimiiii, no need to volunteer to send me a CD;( I understand you're quite the WHAM! connisseur) thanks anyway.[:D]

As the party pooper here, I'll be happy to admit that I never bought and never had the desire to buy "Make it Big." I don't have a single Wham song in my collection. I never even borrowed a Wham song to put on cassette.
I never liked the band and I probably never will and I think I dislike George Michael's solo stuff even more.
Sorry about that.

[/quote]Hmmmm. Besides the glossy Andrew Ridgley photo, tissues also were involved in my greatest Wham! shame.

I think the other guy also married a model and started some pseudo industrial group that lasted for one album.
