These were some GREAT artists - anybody else agree?

Flash & The Pan
The Sherbs
Scott Wilk & The Walls
Wall of Voodoo
Nektar (older but obscure & kind of new wave to me)
New Musik (REALLY obscure!)

Blue Oyster Cult is my alltime favorite group (though not new wave) - their early albums were WAY before their time. If you've never heard their first & second albums (early '70's), you are missing something.

New Musik were great: Living By Numbers is fantastic electronic pop. Also loved their track: world of water.

I do know that I like Flash And The Pan's Welcome To The Universe & Wall Of Voodoo's Do It Again.

I had BOC's Fire of Unknown Origin LP went I was a young lad and thought it was pretty good.

New Musik is terrific. Wall of Voodoo did much more good stuff than just "Mexican Radio". I saw them live. They opened for either Oingo Boingo or R.E.M. (memory grows foggy) They really put on a great show. All I know from the others on the list is "H

BOC - This band had great singles ("burning for you") and collaborated with Patti Smith (I think she wrote "Shooting Shark", another good track). I've not heard their early early stuff but understand it was pretty inventive....

I just discovered New Musik and I must say I am impressed with "straight lines". The few other tracks I got off of soulseek have been quirky in a good way, with somtimes psychadelic synths.
