Sorry it's taken so long to get back to this. I was traveling on busingess (Tucson 114 degrees!). I couldn't get my laptop to connect to the internet in my hotel for some reason.
Anyway it looks like the Pretenders were just that:

Scramjet - maybe it's me, but I just can't see any rhyme or reason to the voting. Great bands and fluff bands (as indicated in other polls) both getting voted off early. Great bands and fluff bands fighting it out for the win.
Like Blir, I've had several David Banner moments but let them go thinking these winners have as much in common as Richard Hatch et al. That said, I do enjoy watching the fights unfold (and the terrible puns that just keep coming [:)]). Very entertaining.
Now, let's end this division.. it's time to bounce Boingo or there will be no joy in new wave ville.
