An exhibition of the celebrated bands that played at CBGBs, a club widely considered the birthplace of American punk rock. The photos, by renowned photographers, and statements by musicians like Tommy Ramone and David Byrne help define why this is a place that matters. The photos and text for the exhibit come from the new book CBGB and OMFUG: Thirty Years from the Home of Underground Rock. Photographers represented include Julie Blattberg, Stephanie Chernikowski, Roberta Bayley, David Godlis, Bob Gruen, Lisa J. Kristal, Ebet Roberts, and Kate Simon.
