Wang Chung is coming out with a new album, according to this site that is apparently run by the band. The Nelly cover from "Hit Me Baby" is funny and the new song, "Abducted by the 80's" is very cool.

Although I have their first album, I'm not a big Wang Chung fan. "Everybody" was their biggest hit (and my vote for one of the most irritating videos of the '80), but I always had to laugh about this song because the average joe completely missed the irony inherent in the lyrics:

"On the edge of the oblivion, all the world is babylon, and all the love and everyone, a ship of fools sailing on."

Essentially they are making fun of the "party hardy" attitude that the rest of the song mimicked.

I have the same reaction to REM's The One I Love

No matter how burned out I get on "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" I never get tired of the To Live And Die In L.A. soundtrack. That's where they hit their peak, IMO.

I will buy it when it comes out. As long its not vaporware.

Anyone know how to save the Flash streaming as an MP3? I can't figure it out...I'm definitely buying the album when it comes out, but wanted to put "Abducted by the 80's" on a comp...has anyone seen this on ITunes or a related site yet?

Wang Chung - 'Points on the Curve' is a perfect album and one of my favorites for 20+ years now.
