I was thinking about the recent interview with Ray Burmiston (cool guy, bought me lunch!) of the Passion Puppets when the topic sprung to mind.

So far I've interviewed:

Landscape - all members (though Richard James Burgess was by far the best interviewee)

Andy Jarman from A Popular History of Signs

Paul Egholm from The Pinkees


Currently in the process of interviewing Gary Barnacle from the Leisure Process but that is two months away from being started and tracing leads about finding Jona Lewie.

A few:
Jeff Tweedy of Wilco: Coolest guy (runner up E of Eels)
Lead singer of Spoon (Brett or Britt?): NOT a nice guy at all.

I got to interview Henry Rollins once; he was VERY intelligent, VERY principled, VERY serious, and afterwards, even tho he was really cool, I felt infinitely inferior.

Back in the college radio days, I interviewed:

Pulp (Russell)
Echobelly (Sonya Madan)
The Wedding Present (can't remember his name)

There were some others but I dont really think anyone would be too interested (Scarce, the Cucumbers, etc....)

Very unlikely due to lack of interest. Andy said he wants to but until he can find someone who wants to release it the masters will stay in their tins. [:(]

I had the opportunity to interview Adrian Belew at the NAMM fest in Chicago in 1986. He had just finished left handed dream with Robin Scott of "M" fame and Ryuichi Sakamoto, and had already released Tom Tom Clubs first. It was either visit with him or go to the Booth that had Eddie VanHalen and Valerie were at. Adrian won hands down. Adrian was very human and down to earth. Got his and his wife at the times maragrets autograph on the lone rhino album cover.I was just asking him things on my own and afterwords he asked with whom was i interviewing for and he was starteled that i was just a fan.

Actually I have 2 different cd versions of this (one includes some of the songs on the initial bonus EP). I am/was a big Sakamoto fan until about Beauty or therabouts. Since then I have been constantly burned when I buy any of his new releases [xx(].

Has to be Bruce Cockburn in a hotel room in Knoxville. One of the smartest musicians ever.

Talking to Carole Pope (Rough Trade) was also a treat. She has been very involved in activism.

I interviewed Sasha and En Esch from KMFDM at my college station.

Did you get him to sing the theme from Franklin? I love than damn song.

Wile I was running a bookstore, I got to interview Barry Williams, I mean Johnny Bravo, for his book.

Motors, you'd be interested to know that I interviewed Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon today and they were by far the most down to earth and utterly nice people going...as a result I now like "Sonic Nurse".
